Medicaid is a federal and state funded program that is the largest of its kind, as well as the longest running, in the state of Ohio. The Medicaid program is administered by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Medicaid covers medical expenses for individuals who do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay their expenses.
